Signs your upholstery or canvas needs attention
Boats that spend most of their time in full sun tend to show wear in the same places. Watch for:
- Faded or chalky vinyl on seat tops and bolsters that get the most direct sun.
- Split seams or loose stitching, which let water reach the foam underneath.
- Soft, flattened or waterlogged foam that stays damp or smells musty after rain.
- Tired canvas that has faded, no longer sheds water well, or is coming apart at the seams.
- Cloudy or stiff clear vinyl in enclosures that makes it harder to see out.
Catching these early often means a piece can be re-covered or have its foam replaced instead of being rebuilt from scratch.
Planning a project from Punta Gorda
Since our shop is south of Punta Gorda in North Fort Myers, good photos help us understand a project before anything is scheduled. Through our contact form, send close-ups of worn areas, wider shots that show how the pieces fit together, and the boat’s make, model and length. Let us know where the boat is kept, too. We go over the scope, materials and details with you, then provide a project-specific estimate. Depending on the project, pieces can be brought to our shop, or pickup and on-site measuring can be arranged when appropriate.
Based in North Fort Myers, serving Charlotte County
Our only workshop is in North Fort Myers. From there we serve Punta Gorda and surrounding Charlotte County communities, plus boat owners in Fort Myers, Cape Coral and across Southwest Florida. Rated 4.9 stars on Google.

No. Our only location is our workshop at 27 Eland Dr, North Fort Myers, FL 33917. We serve Punta Gorda and Charlotte County from there.
What should I send to get an estimate?
Photos of the seats, cushions, canvas or interior areas you want to update, the boat’s make, model and length, and where the boat is kept. If you have color or material preferences, include those as well.
Can you replace just the foam or covers on my existing seats?
Often, yes. If the seat bases are sound, re-covering and replacing foam can be a practical option. We assess this when reviewing your project.
How is pricing handled?
Pricing depends on the size and number of pieces, foam condition, material selection and overall project scope. Send photos or contact us at (239) 215-2571 for a project-specific estimate.
How long does a project take?
Project timelines vary depending on the size and scope of the work. We provide an estimated timeline based on the project requirements.
